OUR MISSION
OUR TEAM
Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center provides mental health care and support at no charge for those who have no insurance or who are unable to afford the cost of care. Our staff of three employees and over 20 volunteers (mental health counselors, social workers, psychologists, advocates, attorneys and others) provide counseling, case management, and other supports free of charge to those in need.
Established in 2000, the Center serves around 200 youth and adults from Greater Rochester each year through two primary avenues: clinical care and psychosocial support; and peer support. And when we have volunteers to offer other wellness programs, we add that in too! Currently, we offer a weekly yoga class.
Over the years, we've offered massage, reiki, and chiropractic care as well. Basically, if there's a wellness need and we have the people-power to address it, we do.

We believe everyone should have access to mental health care and support regardless of their insurance status or income. Our volunteer staff of therapists, social workers, advocates and wellness practitioners helps people get the care they need to live safe, healthy, less stressful lives.

FUNDING
64% of our funding comes from individuals, churches and local businesses. Individuals give directly to the Center, through United Way's donor designation program, or through the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA).
In addition, we receive grants from private foundations and support from local churches, banks and businesses. We also receive over $70,000 of in-kind goods and services annually.
This amazing generosity helps to make mental health care available at no cost to those in need!
